Here at Aroma Ridge, our responsibility goes beyond the inner circle of our customers and extends worldwide. You will notice alliances with some of popular estates. For example, when we note Fair Trade, this certification empowers farmers and farm workers to lift themselves out of poverty by investing in their farms and communities, protecting the environment, and developing the business skills necessary to compete in the global marketplace.

Another icon you will see is with Rainforest Alliance. This Alliance works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land use practices, business practices and consumer behavior. Shade Grown coffee, simply growing coffee under shade discourages weed growth, said to reduce pathogen infection, protect the crop from frost, and helps to increase numbers of pollinators which results in better fruit set. Coffee grown in the shade takes long to ripen and is often thought to taste better because the long ripening times contribute to complex flavors. 

 

Food For The Poor is the number one international relief and development charity in the United States, feeding 2 million poor everyday. Our Christian relief services are helping children and the poorest of the poor by providing food, housing, health care, education, water projects, emergency relief and micro-enterprise assistance in the Caribbean and Latin America.

 

Aroma Ridge is proud to provide private labeled coffee for Food For The poor as fundraisers- we've had a wonderful response and look forward to being a part of this organization.
