Coffee trees produce red or purple fruits (drupes) which typically contain two coffee beans. Very Rarely, only in about 3%, will it contain one coffee bean referred to as a Peaberry.
Peaberry coffee beans are much smaller in size, twice as robust in flavor and has more of a 'plumpy' look. Because the seed inside the cherry is much smaller, the acidity is also higher (a good thing) than in regular Arabica beans.
Keep in mind the nature of the peaberry, it's smaller and has a higher concentration of flavor. Expect your favorite coffees, in Peaberry form, to be a tantalizing experience.
